The Donald Trump Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is to be permanently removed; at least, West Hollywood City Council unanimously approved a resolution last night that “urges” the LA City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the star.
However, their vote is not all as final as it seems… They said the resolution was due “…to his disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country”
But the actual decision remains with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and LA City Council, who have never removed a single star in the history of the Walk of Fame
They even resisted calls for the removal of Bill Cosby’s star when he was accused of sexual assault in 2015
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce CEO Leon Gubler told the Hollywood Reporter: “Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”
