There has been no official reaction in the Arab world to the possible murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey.
The Arab world stays silent. A Saudi journalist and critic of the Saudi leadership has possibly been killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
But there’s been no official reaction from any Arab government, and no condemnation from the Arab media.
The international community is demanding answers, and pressure is growing on Saudi Arabia to explain Khashoggi’s disappearance.
Now reports are emerging about evidence said to prove the journalist was murdered soon after entering the consulate and that the smartwatch he was wearing could potentially help solve the mystery.
The Turkish newspaper Sabah, quoting security sources, says the journalist may even have recorded his own death and the audio recording sent to both his phone and icloud.
So what’s behind the Arab silence?
