A large group of people attempted to topple a bus during fierce street protests in Venezuela’s border state of Tachira on Saturday, Feb. 23.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the vehicle was targeted as it moved through the town of Urena.
Riot police later fired tear gas at the crowds to disperse the protesters.
Venezuela’s embattled President Nicolas Maduro denies any crisis in his country and has refused to allow in international aid despite often-empty supermarket shelves, long lines for government-subsidized food, and hospitals lacking in basic supplies and medicines. (Reuters)
