Americans go to the polls today in one of the most important midterm elections in a generation.
US President Donald Trump’s name may not be on the ballot, but the vote is seen as a referendum on his presidency. He has been out campaigning day after day for the Republicans, and the Democrats have been pulling out their big guns too – in the shape of Barack Obama. Immigration and healthcare – have been two of the largest issues – and the rhetoric has been divisive.
