US and China Impose More Tariffs

Today US Customs and Border Protection began collecting an additional duty of 25% on a series of products imported from China. The increase was imposed because of what the US sees as China’s unfair trade practices related to the forced transfer of US technology and intellectual property. At the same time the US and China kicked off two days of talks in Washington aimed at settling the escalating trade battle. The US is claiming an advantage because Beijing is struggling to keep its economic growth from faltering after previously imposed sanctions. RT’s Manila Chan reports.
