Trump pulling from nuclear deal “not good” for Iran

As Donald Trump announces he is withdrawing America from its nuclear deal with Iran, Sky’s Ian King asks energy analyst Cornelia Meyer and Dr Sanam Vakil of Chatham House’s Middle East Programme how the markets will react.

Meyer says the US withdrawing from the deal is “not good” for Iran in the medium to long term as the country “desperately needs investment and access to Western technology.”

Vakil warns most firms will “turn their backs on Iran” as the ease of doing business in Iran does not outweigh opportunities in the US market.
