China is vowing not to bend to U.S. ‘blackmail’ after reports that hardline advisers are urging President Donald Trump to slap 25 per cent tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports. Advisers to the president are urging him to more than double a 10 per cent tariff moving forward. The Trump administration is already targeting $50 billion in Chinese products. The tariffs would hit U.S. consumers who buy goods ranging from televisions to light bulbs and Tilapia.
