Thousands of people gathered in Pittsburgh late on Saturday for an emotional vigil for the victims of the deadly synagogue shooting. Braving a light rain, they said prayers and sang in memory of those killed and wounded. Several blamed the shooting on the political climate and said they took little solace in a planned visit by President Donald Trump. A gunman who’s believed to have spewed anti-Semitic slurs and rhetoric on social media barged into a baby-naming ceremony at the synagogue on Saturday and opened fire, killing 11 people in one of the deadliest attacks on Jews in US history.
