The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl 53. Patriots QB Tom Brady became the first player to ever win six Super Bowls in what was the lowest scoring Super Bowl of all time. The lackluster event drew an overnight rating of 44.9, which was the lowest for any Super Bowl since 2009. In the Scottish Premiership, first place Celtic extended their lead on the league to six points, shutting out St. Johnstone 2-0. 18-year-old American Timothy Weah had a goal and an assist after subbing in at the 74th minute to leave his squad to victory.
