Drama on the tennis court after Naomi Osaka’s first ever Grand Slam victory against Serena Williams at the U.S. Open on Saturday.

Chair umpire Carlos Ramos sent Williams into a rage after on-court coaching and verbal abuse violations that led to snapped tennis racket and more theatrics.

With the first violation, Williams had a point deducted. But after the third incident she was punished with an entire game.

After a 6-2 6-4 win against her tennis idol, Osaka said “I’m sorry it had to end this way”.

The victory makes Osaka Japan’s first ever Grand Slam champion.
