Manafort verdict is a ‘witch-hunt’ and ‘disgrace’, says Donald Trump


Donald Trump suffered a double blow after Michael Cohen, his longtime lawyer and ‘fixer’, pleaded guilty to eight charges including campaign finance violations, while Paul Manafort, the US president’s former campaign chairman, was convicted of eight charges of bank and tax fraud. Arriving for a rally in Charleston, West Virginia, Trump called Manafort a ‘good man’ and described the guilty verdict as a ‘disgrace’ and a ‘witch-hunt’
