LIVE: Tropical Strom Ian Coverage – Florida begins damage assessment as Ian passes

Tropical Storm Ian continued to move across Florida after dumping catastrophic storm surge and winds across the southwest Florida coast.

At 5:00 a.m., the NHC said Tropical Storm Ian had maximum sustained winds to be 65 miles an hour.
