Donald Trump and the two highest ranking opposition leaders hurled insults at each other as the row over the US Government shutdown exploded on live television.
President Trump spoke of a ‘humanitarian and security crisis’ at the Mexican border as he demanded almost $6 billion for a border wall.
Senior Democrat Nancy Pelosi accused Mr Trump of choosing fear and holding the American people hostage over the shutdown.
