always lots of favorite lines, but gotta say “if he had a nickel for every time there was a new report…he might be able to afford his own private jet…”–and i want to add as someone who was following with dismay his confirmation hearing: absolutely everybody knew he was a mediocrity nominated by bush to slam thurgood marshall, everybody knew when hill came forward she was telling a truth the country needed to know, everybody knew when he made his “hightech lynching” speech he was posing, everybody knew biden mealy-mouthed the hearing, the republicans sickeningly slandered hill, and by now everybody knows about thomas’ mentally ill wife, his child-like lust for money (instead of porn, now he’s too old for porn) and the stain he got for 30 years to spread over the court–i’m less informed about alito, but we all got a clear picture of his “german” wife the way we got a picture of kavanaugh’s own “hightech lynching” cri de coeur about beer and christine ford–we all know this…
