Canadian officials in Vancouver arrested Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer and deputy chair of the board for the Chinese tech giant Huawei. She is being sought for extradition by the United States. The Chinese Embassy in Canada said it ‘firmly opposes and strongly protests’ the arrest.
