Kory Honea, Butte County Sheriff, reported a second point of origin is now under investigation in the Camp fire aftermath.

The death toll, which increased after six more remains were recovered in both Paradise and Magalia today, is up from 56 confirmed killed in the fire yesterday. Now at 63 dead, the body count matches the number of people killed by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in the Bay Area and underscores the human devastation in California’s deadliest fire.

Honea also explains the underlying reasons for the massive spike in people reported missing since the fire.
