The march was staged in a wealthy area of Sacramento Monday night after prosecutors said officers Terrance Mercadal and Jared Robinet did not act unlawfully in the death of Stephon Clark. Police handcuffed at least three clergy members and reporter Dale Kasler. Mayor Darrell Steinberg has questioned the police’s response to the protest. Clark was shot seven times in his grandparents’ garden last March. Police said they thought Clark had a gun, but he was holding a cellphone. Stephon’s mother, Se’Quette Clark said: ‘They executed my son’.
