Paul G. Allen, who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates, died on Monday at the age of 65. Paul Allen, who was treated with cancer, died in Seattle from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Bill Gates, his childhood friend, said he was heartbroken about the loss of one of his ‘oldest and dearest friends’. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella called Paul Allen’s contributions to the company, community and industry ‘indispensable’. Paul Allen, an avid sports fan, owned the Portland Trail Blazers and the Seattle Seahawks. Paul Allen heavily invested more than $2 billion in areas such as ocean health, homelessness and advancing scientific research.
