Tucker, no offense, but you are so stupid. Either that, or something else bad. You are being made a fool out of by Ken Paxton. Karl Rove is right. Most likely, Rove gave them the receipts. Paxton is not going to ask for anything in writing. He KNOWS what he will get. The facts. You are too lazy to research this! Frankly, I found this conversation quite entertaining watching him lie. You like being bamboozled by a con man?
You want the receipts? I’ve got them. It is voluminous. Look up his nefarious relationship with the billionaire who was using Paxton to help him in his federal investigation. That is a big no no. Look for the bribery charges. Whistleblowers have even more on that which was not presented at trial.
His assistants tried to get him to stop for many months assisting that guy, but he refused. So, they went to the FBI. The whistleblowers also stopped subpoenas going to federal charges in Nate Paul’s case. Paxton would have immediately been arrested if he carried that out.
Paxton has about 600 attorneys, yet he hired an inexperienced attorney to do criminal law for him. The assistants did not approve. This young attorney was the one that had to file the subpoenas. Paxton owed him $13,000 for his work, but Paxton’s immediate assistant told him to “eat it” right in front of Paxton. That’s a good question for Paxton. Why don’t you ask him? You seem to like him so much.
First step, look it up in Texas Monthly. It is all true. Dan Patrick and Ken Paxton were awarded “Bum Steers of the Year.” West Texas billionaires “donated” $3 million to Dan Patrick right before the impeachment trial started. Now why would they do that? They must really, really like him.
There were 20 charges in the impeachment trial. Dan Patrick, who ran the the impeachment “trial,” made an agreement before the trial to take out the most provable charges OUT right before the trial. Only one needed to be voted true to impeach him.
One was the criminal trial that had been investigated for years and finally went to trial in July 2024. The lawyers got a deal right before the trial. Paxton made a deal to pay about $300,000 to his victims and has to take an ethics class. An ethics class?
I think one of the other ones was Paxton’s affair that Nate Paul helped him with. Nate Paul gave her a job in Austin and found her an apartment. In return, Paul got someone to help Paxton with remodeling. There was a big joke about the granite kitchen cabinet top his wife wanted. I think the whole thing was bout $180,000.
She showed up to testify, but they told her she was not needed and sent her home. Patrick was doing everything he could to help Paxton. They literally stopped the trial to make that deal.
In fact, the Senate voted not to impeach him. Only two Senators stood up and said, “Yes, he is guilty.” They received tons of backlash for that, too. Paxton has the conservative base in Texas conned.
The House Republicans wanted him impeached, but not the Senate.
Dan Patrick even made a video about about why they chose not to vote him guilty.
One reason was they did not take any physical evidence to the FBI. They did take plenty of eyewitness evidence. Sleazy lawyer Mitch Little, now State Representative, got him to say he did not “take” any evidence to the FBI. He later explained why he said that. They did not “take” any paperwork. I believe he was tricked.
Do you ignore witness of a bank robbery? No, eyewitness testimony is evidence. They kept screaming “No evidence,” but there WAS evidence. 8,000 pages given to the Senate to make their decision.
You can watch the two week trial on the Texas Senate Legislature site. I watched it all in real time. I learned a lot.
The biggest thing I learned was that most people’s complaints against public officials are never even investigated. That is what happened to me. I made a complaint to the OAG about felonies of theft of public property worth tens of thousands of dollars. They did nothing.
The OAG did not even do anything about the complaints I had of MULTIPLE open records violations committed by this county. OAG had a handbook on public information records. Why bother even having it?
One of the whistleblowers admitted this. He said they just figure most complaints are bogus, so they don’t investigate them. Plus, they get thousands every year. Wonder why there is so much corruption in Texas? They know they can get away with almost anything!
Plenty more . . .
Texas Tribune covered this the best and Lauren McGaughy has been chasing him down for years. Not too long ago, she found the receipts on 6 out-of-state properties worth about $6 million that Paxton will not claim when he is legally required to.

You should look at the 20 articles of impeachment. I have them. The most obvious one, to me, was where he fired whistleblowers who had pleaded with him to stop aiding his billionaire friend Nate Paul in his federal investigation. Article VI. It is illegal in Texas to fire whistleblowers. No way getting around that. He finally offered them millions of Texas taxpayer dollars, but they refused because they wanted to go to a real trial to show the people of Texas what he did. Trump told Texas Supreme Court to leave Paxton alone and not make him testify. Paxton will not testify. You should have asked him why not. I have not heard anymore on their lawsuit. I wonder if they finally settled out of court with OUR money. That is what makes me mad.
Here is Article VI Impeachment charge:
“(Disregard of Official Duty-Termination of Whistleblowers)
While holding office as Attorney General, Warren Kenneth Paxton violated the duties of his office by terminating and taking adverse personnel action against employees of his office in violation of this state’s whistleblower law (Chapter 554, Government Code).
Specifically, Paxton terminated employees of his office who made good faith reports of his unlawful actions to law enforcement authorities. Paxton terminated the employees without good cause or due process and in retaliation for reporting his illegal acts and improper conduct. Furthermore, Paxton engaged in a public and private campaign (Didn’t he just say he had a gag order?) to impune the employees’ professional reputations or prejudice their future employment.”

I believe this one is about the 6 out-of-state properties worth $10 million that he refuses to report. Ask Lauren McGaughy in Austin for the receipts. She works for KUT. She wrote an article on it.
Article IV
“(False Statements in Official Records – Personal Financial Statements)
While holding office as attorney general, and prior to, Warren Kenneth Paxton made misrepresentations or false or misleading statements in official filings to mislead both the public and public officials.
Specifically, Paxton failed to fully and accurately disclose his financial interests in his personal financial statements required by law to be filed with the Texas Ethics Commission in furtherance of the acts described in one or more articles.”

Paxton was spending all his time helping billionaire Nate Paul instead of doing his job. He is not supposed to help individuals. He is supposed to help charitable organizations.
One attorney even told me they won’t even help anyone at all unless they had a lot of money.
Article I
“(Disregard of Official Duty-Protection of Charitable Organization)
While holding office as attorney general, Warren Kenneth Paxton violated the duties of his office by failing to act as public protector of charitable organizations as required by Chapter 123, Property Code.
Specifically, Paxton caused employees of his office to intervene in a lawsuit brought by the Roy f. & JoAnn Cole Mitte Foundation against several corporate entities controlled by Nate Paul. Paxton harmed the Mitte Foundation in an effort to benefit Paul.”
No evidence? Yeah, right.

It took 9 years to get this to trial. Paxton did everything he could to get out of it. There was a whole bru ha ha about all this, too. I believe prosecutors spent years getting the evidence, but then they didn’t get paid. They went to trial in July 2024. Paxton made a deal to pay victims about $300,000 and take an ethics class. That’s right. An AG who has to take an ethics class. Otherwise, he was up for 20 years.
ARTICLE XII
(Obstruction of Justice-Abuse of Judicial Process)
“While holding office as attorney general, Warren Kenneth Paxton abused the
judicial process to thwart justice. Specifically, Paxton benefited from the filing of
a lawsuit by Jeff Blackard, a donor to Paxton’s campaign, that interfered with or
disrupted payment of the prosecutors in a criminal securities fraud case against
Paxton. Blackard’s actions caused protracted delay in the criminal case against
Paxton, including the delay of discovery of facts and testimony at trial, to
Paxton’s advantage, which deprived the electorate of its opportunity to make
an informed decision when voting for attorney general.
No evidence? I beg to disagree. This was nothing but a coverup. A HUGE cover up.

ARTICLE XVII
“(Misappropriation of Public Resources)
While holding office as attorney general, Warren Kenneth Paxton misused his
official powers by causing employees of his office to perform services for his
benefit and the benefit of others.”
Lots of witnesses testified about this. No evidence? Give me a break.
What Dan Patrick and ken Paxton did to the people of Texas is make fools out of them.

For some reason, this one made me maddest. Brandon Cammack testified about this. He said that Paxton’s assistant told him to “eat” the $13,000 Paxton owed him. Right in front of Paxton. Then, they were going to abandon him far away from his car. He said plenty more, too. I don’t remember exactly, but I believe it had to do with Austin DA. She was interviewed over the phone on loudspeaker, if I remember correctly. EVIDENCE.
The AG has about 700 attorneys. Why didn’t he use his own? Because the whistleblowers REFUSED TO BREAK THE LAW in a federal investigation. He deliberately hired an inexperienced young attorney who knew nothing about criminal law to do his bidding. Disgusting. Then, he didn’t even pay him. Still hasn’t. Told him to eat it. I pressed State Rep.Brian Birdwell about it, and he said, ‘It’s not our money!”
ARTICLE V
(Disregard of Official Duty-Engagement of Cammack)
While holding office as attorney general, Warren Kenneth Paxton misused his official powers by violating the laws governing the appointment of prosecuting attorneys pro tem. Specifically, Paxton engaged Brandon Cammack, a licensed
15 attorney, to conduct an investigation into a baseless complaint, 16 during which Cammack issued more than 30 grand jury subpoenas, in an effort to benefit Nate Paul or Paul’s business entities.
