US President Donald Trump announced this week that he would double steel and aluminium tariffs on Turkey.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is urging Turks to sell their dollars and buy lira instead, to strengthen the currency, which has fallen to a record low.
Since the start of the year, the Turkish lira has lost 35 percent of its value against the dollar.
